The crowd begins to chant a steady crescendo, led by a small group of teenage boys with striped overalls and blaring megaphones. At the center of the commotion is senior Joey Perkins, leader of the Owasso High School student section.

On October 10th, the Lady Rams volleyball team played Capitol Hill during the regional playoffs and dominated on the court. Their undisputed victory allowed the Lady Rams to advance to the regional championship game, where they faced their final opponent of the night: Edmond Santa Fe. 

As days become cooler this fall, an uncanny ambiance cloaks over our everyday lives. This mysterious atmosphere coordinates suitably with one of my favorite fall traditions- haunted houses.

Owasso’s Forensics Science class does many unique labs throughout the school year; they just recently completed their “Body Farm” lab. The lab is designed for students to see the different sizes of maggots that consume the “dying” body in different climates.

Most students can recall a class that prepared them in a way no other class accomplished. Whether the contributing factor is the teacher, course material, activities, etc., it’s important that Owasso offers such diverse courses. After interviewing numerous students, these OHS classes proved to be the favorites.

With the millions of different fast food places around Owasso, it can take time to find a restaurant with personality. Oklahomies Mobile Gastronomy is just that, with one man turning his culinary vision into a reality, quitting his desk job to pursue his food truck dream.

The first thing you notice about the Owasso High School Crossing Guards is they're happy, hilarious and helping the community in such a humble way.

Senior boys compete in a traditional pageant (an Owasso Varsity Pom fundraiser) for the title of Mr. Owasso in front of peers, community members and a panel of judges from the community.

The course has been around for years; however, the school has recently hired Mr. Kristian Stitt for the position. Stitt’s approach: forming an already-essential curriculum into a unique and worthwhile class.

Director Jeff Rowe and producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have returned with a Turtles film that seeks to return the franchise to its grimy roots.

Between the busy lives of conferences, lesson planning and grading, teachers still make time to develop meaningful relationships with their students. There are a few different teachers that have stuck out to Owasso students.

For the 2023-2024 school year, junior and senior students at Owasso High School were given the opportunity to work an internship. Many students took advantage of this opportunity to work with the community and make some extra money.

HBCUs were created during the 19th century during segregation to give African Americans the chance to obtain a higher education.
