Maggie Snap is Owasso’s up-and-coming celebrity. She has always loved the 80s and is working hard in her band to make her rockstar dreams come true. Snap started playing the guitar four years ago and singing two years ago. Practicing for countless hours, Snap has started to make her presence in Oklahoma's music scene.

Snap is currently a part of two bands, with the “School of Rock” being her most active band. The members of this band come from across the Tulsa area. Snap, along with the “School of Rock,” was able to perform at Cain’s Ballroom earlier this January. Now forever a part of the history of downtown Tulsa, Snap’s name is now engraved in Cain’s Ballroom, along with many other famous performers.

Snap expressed how her nerves melted away, “I was so excited, and I was proud of where I was.” This venue will be one small step on Snap’s path to fame.

Snap is already on top of controlling her crowds. She is beyond wise and knows that her stage presence is responsible for the emotions of the crowd. As long as she shows confidence and excitement on stage, her audience will mirror her energy. The constant positive energy going back and forth makes for a great show.

As a performer, she is filled with ambition and creativity. Snap is working to book more events where she can perform solo. Snap continues to let her emotions and vulnerability shine through in her performances. The emotions she puts into the lyrics she writes and how she performs creates a relationship with her fans. She wants to continue to get better, so she is learning more about her instrument: the guitar. This is not just a hobby for Snap; she is planning on attending UCO in the fall. They have a very hands-on and very impressive music program.

Being excited to get a start on her education in music, Snap exclaims, “I think it’s the perfect place for me!”

Snap’s individuality has always been important to her. She was fortunate enough to grow up with a loving, supportive family who wanted the best for her. Her family shared their unique interests with her and created an environment for different passions to thrive. Everyone would be smart to take a page out of Snap’s book and focus on their feelings and interests.

Snap’s positive mentality is to “never feel the need to please people.” She focuses on herself and lets her nerves fall away.

Make sure to support Maggie Snap on her road to fame by coming to her shows. Some upcoming events will be March 16th at the Shamrock Fest, March 29th-30th at the Outsider’s house and May 11th at the Jenks Riverwalk Amphitheater.
