Battle of the car washes

By Brodie Patrick

As the April showers roll in and Owasso’s residents look to get their cars clean, the question remains: “Which car wash do I go to?” The options are plenty, and selecting your perfect match can be daunting. Here is a guide to the top four choices in the Owasso area.

  1. Time to Shine Car Wash – Coming in at the No. 1 spot with the highest rating of 4.7 stars, Time to Shine offers a one-tunnel experience with four different washes: Basic wash at $10, Hot Wax and Shine at $16, Lava Shield and Shine at $20 and finally Super Ceramic at $25. Although the prices might seem steep, vacuum and towels are included in each wash for paying customers. However, Time to Shine differs from other car washes on this list as the only non 24/7 service.

  2. IQ Car Wash - In close second place with 4.3 stars, IQ offers six self-serve terminals and three auto wash tunnels. Much like Time to Shine, there are four different price points for your cleaning needs: Good wash at $11, Better at $14, Best at $15 and Ultimate at $16. Again, the price point is relatively steep, but vacuums are included for anyone to use – even if you do not pay for their service – and offer 24/7 service hours.

  3. Wash World Car Wash – Trailing close behind IQ with a rating of 4.1 stars, Wash World offers four self-serve and one auto wash tunnel. Although Wash World is a smaller-scale car wash, the pricing is competitively lower: Basic Wash at $6, Deluxe at $8, Premium at $10 and Ultimate at $12. In addition, Wash World shares the standard 24/7 service.

  4. Dirty Dawg Storage & Carwash – Dirty Dawg shares a relatively high rating of 4.1 with Wash World and the same pricing standards. However, its location is somewhat farther from most other car washes, rendering it at last place on the list. The critical difference is the unique storage option that Dirty Dawg provides; truly a gem of Owasso car washes.
