The main objective of LARP club is for a group of people to get together and have fun role playing in a fantasy world.

Playing in college is a big deal, but finding others who have gone through the process before can help relieve the anxiety. Seniors Olivia Kucharyski, Libby Booth and Michael Jamerson offer advice from their experiences.

Phillips has been committed to Oklahoma State University (OSU) since his verbal announcement in 2019 as a freshman to pitch for the Cowboys. The most recent accomplishment that Phillips has reached in his baseball career is making the 18 and under (18U) USA baseball team over the Summer.

This year the Owasso Pom team won Nationals for the first time in school history. They began competing in Nationals just last year and have already won it all in their second appearance.

One coach steps down and another coach fills his shoes. Coach Casey Stelzer has been coaching for 21 years but has been working for Owasso since 2015.

After not getting the result they wanted last year, the boys’ basketball team flipped a switch in the offseason and made it all the way to the state tournament this year. One of the players that helped this team make it to state was junior Caleb Leslie.

Throughout the past years, the baseball team has won many games which has led them to winning championships for the school. The baseball team is currently ranked twenty-third in the nation and are trying to keep the upward trend of winning.

Emma Reynolds, a senior at Owasso High school, has consistently learned from her sport and teammates. Throughout her time as a rower, the sport has taught her not only skills within her sport, but life skills as well.

Davis contributes much of her success, both on and off the stage, to dance stating “dancing at Owasso Dance Company made me who I am today. It gave me so much self-confidence, and it was a way of expressing myself. Getting up on stage as a little kid and being able to perform and put myself out there helped me to believe in myself.” 

Do you remember that best friend you had in elementary school that you would do everything with? Well, on the girl’s basketball team, that elementary friend group is still thriving. Chloe Stocksen, Taylor Rose and Karson Zumwalt have all been playing basketball together since the fifth grade.

The Owasso Girls Soccer team didn’t get the result they were looking for last year as their season abruptly ended when COVID-19 made its way into the United States. This meant a season was completely wiped out for now Seniors Cierra Gann and Chloe Wilkins.

Many people love watching and playing sports, but there are some very important people and groups that work behind the scenes to make sure the games and practices run smoothly. One of those groups is athletic trainers. These trainers specialize in preventing athletes from getting injured and focus on their recovery.

The Owasso Rams Basketball season is coming up, and the team has something to prove this year. With a record of seven wins and six losses last season in district play, the team is returning all their players and looking to improve their record. 

With the current record of 18-13, the girls have one home and one away game left until the playoffs come.

Sports is something that brings the community together in any town, especially in a town like Owasso. It’s hard to not recognize the extraordinary talent Owasso athletes display daily.
