Owasso’s Legacy is a Hit out of the Park

By James (Bowls) Coleman

On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, Owasso baseball came together to honor previous Ram players.

Former players for Owasso celebrated Ram baseball all day last Saturday. With a meet and greet, playing catch, a home run derby, and an alumni game, everyone joined together to celebrate baseball.

The home run derby consisted of our distinguished alumni launching baseballs into the sky as fellow players supervised the field. These men may have moved on from baseball to work their jobs, but there was a certain giddiness about them. It was clear that baseball was close to the alumnis’ hearts.

Laughter and jokes were shared on the field as the alumni reminisced about their highschool days. Owasso baseball has clearly had an effect on it's former students, and it will be fun to see how today’s players will grow because of this. Hopefully, in twenty years, our current players will be able to walk out on the same field that is so near and dear to them.

Let’s support our baseball players and go to their games!
